Trade Secret has partnered with a select group of entrusted nationwide delivery providers. Customers may either make their own arrangements directly with these providers (details available on request) or we will happily manage the process on your behalf.
Payment options: The delivery fee can be added to your sales order or paid directly to the delivery team, either as cash on delivery or via an EFT prior to delivery.
NOTE: Deliveries and collections are only authorised once full payment has been received by Trade Secret.
Accessibility: The delivery will be done by the appropriate number of personnel required to collect your order from our first floor. Should accessibility present a greater challenge than this we ask you to inform us prior to the delivery so the appropriate arrangements are made and charges applied. If this information hasn’t been provided additional charges may be incurred.
Please note that as we use 3rd party couriers, our delivery service does not include assembly or removal of packaging (unless otherwise specified).
Cape Town and the Surrounding Area
Deliveries in this area are direct from our Woodstock showroom which allows us to provide a more flexible service. Extremely competitive commercial delivery charges are quoted at point of purchase.
Johannesburg and Pretoria
Depending on urgency orders are either despatched individually or batch together if time allows. Typically the delivery of a standard individual order (0.5 to 1cbm) is R1,000 while bigger orders are closer to R1350 – R1500.
Trade Secret delivers to most other areas on a quotation basis.
Trade Secret works with a number of Cape Town based International Freight Forwarders and can assist with your shipping requirements by arrangement.
Customers are very welcome to collect their furniture either directly from our Cape Town showroom or the Alberton logistics hub Monday – Friday 09.00 – 17.00. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the collection vehicle is suitable, as well as to ensure that they have the correct tools, ropes and blankets necessary to protect and secure the furniture in order to prevent damage during transit.
Customers are asked to inspect their goods on arrival. Unless indicated on the proof of delivery or collection note it will be assumed goods have been accepted as being in good condition. If there is an issue, where possible, the goods should be returned at this point with the original packaging. If there is a need to return goods at a later stage this can be arranged by calling the Cape Town showroom on 021 447 1186. In general, if a refund is to be provided, it is the customer’s responsibility to return goods in a saleable condition within 7 days.
Website Purchases and Returns
At Trade Secret we understand buying furniture through a website involves a certain leap of faith. In order to alleviate some of the risk we offer a ‘no quibble’ refund policy on any item bought through our website. We would rather you returned the furniture than sat with a purchase you were unsure of so no justifications are required. All we ask is you inform us within 7 days and cover the cost of the return. Of course we remain on hand to assist you in organizing it.
For credit cards refunds will take the form of a credit back to the same card used to make the original purchase.
For EFT and cash payments refunds will be a reverse transaction.
